Check out Northwest Geophysical Associate's (NGA) GM-SYS 2D to 2.75D
forward and inverse modeling package at:
http://www.nga.com/
Due to an arrangement between NGA and Geosoft, GM-SYS works easily with Oasis.
I particularly like a new product of theirs: Werner depth-to-magnetic
source estimation. In this module one can generate depth estimates for an
entire data set by essentially pushing a button. Also, with the push of a
button, you can generate models for the entire data set. So, having to
build another model if necessary is painless. I like to check and compare
depth estimates against hypothetical source bodies on the fly as I work
through a data set.
I know that the guys at NGA have been working on 3D modeling, but I don't
know the estimated roll-out date. Can you comment on this Gerry?
Cheers,
Dale
