Hi again Joe, Just a follow up with a simpler method to mimic the free interface user. 1) Uninstall the licence to the red disk 2) Remove any drop-down menus that may still be displayed using the GX/Remove menu item. 3) Then go to GX/Load menu, and change the Files of type to "All files". In the list you'll see a file called: oasis0.smn. Load this. 4) Once all done in the free interface environment, reinstall the licence, Load the oasis.omn menu as well as any others. Much easier than my other method!!! You can tell which version you have because the background wallpaper changes (in a subtle manner). Also, if you click on the Help/Help topics, in the free interface you will get the free version interface.hlp instead of engine.hlp. Tha latter is obviously more comprehensive. This is so you only have to go to the free interface once. You will find that the free interface is already installed as part of your licenced software. However if you wish to simulate a non-licenced user, you will have to firstly uninstall your licence back to the red disk (Licences tab/ Move licence). In addition, you will have to uninstall the Licenced Processing Engine (LPE). To do this go to the Current tab, go to and highlight the Geosoft/ OASIS montaj/ OASIS montaj (LPE) folder and tick the uninstall toggle. Then hit [GO]. Now when you open up a workspace, it will be a true free interface. To bring everything back to normal, go to the Add tab and you will have to select all folders that you are licenced for - not just the Geosoft/ OASIS montaj folder that you initially uninstalled. If you don't have the 5.01CD by now, then unfortunately this will mean downloading ~6Mb or less again. Can I really do that without having to install the free interface on another machine? Is the OASIS montaj 5.0 Free Interface simply a set of core functions of OASIS montaj 5.0? **************************************************************************** *** Joseph (Joe) S.
