Dear Mark,   The easiest way around this problem is to: 1)  use GRIDCOPY GX to convert the Surfer GRD to a Geosoft FLOAT GRID (i.e after file extension type in the output grid file dialog type "(GRD;Type=Float)" 2) In ermapper use import- geosoft binary grid and select the geosoft "float" grid  you created and a create a .ers file. Make sure you specify the correct Datum and projection of the data.     This should give you a correctly georeferenced .ers file.   Hope this helps   Matt ______________________________________________ Matthew R.
