Dear Peter,

 

The 3-D maps can be printed out in Oasis montaj. To do this just select the map which has the 3-D grid displayed on it and then select File/Print to send it to your printer.

 

To paste the 3-D image, just select it on your map (by using the Select A Group button on the right-hand-side of the screen and clicking on the 3-D image), then right mouse click on top of the 3-D image and select "Copy" from the pop-up menu. Then you can go to your other map and right mouse click on it to select "Paste" from the pop-up menu.

At first glance a rather useful tool, however, along with many of its similar cousins in other software packages, there doesn't appear to be the ability to either print out the image or paste the image to another 'map'. One of the useful items in exploration geochemistry is the ability to view the results in the context of a 3dimensional topographic surface. However, much more useful if you can print it out.

Or.....

As with the other packages is the only way out: to maximise the view, dump to a screen capture & edit out all the edging but the 3D-image itself in an imaging/photo editing package?
