Steve, if you really have to have a cgm, then you may have a problem. SDIMontage is a cgm editor that sometimes can read other formats (ie postscript) but a lack of format standards is a pain here. Image Alchemy is a neat cheapish widget that converts image formats (but NOT cgms) into other formats and rtl's (a sort of native HP plot language). The Windows/NT version also displays a thumbnail of the image prior to routing to a plotter. Alchemy comes in both UNIX and DOS (yea !) versions; the latter runs fine in an NT/DOS window, though the interface, while dead clunky, does save one the pain of complex command line strings that will be found in the UNIX version.
