Hi everyone,

I don't know much about magnetics, but I have an area in north eastern B.C. where I used geosoft's DAP functionality to display the 2 km magnetic grids. I loaded both the 2 km Canada grid and the 2 km North America grid to compare the two grids. When I have compared the two magnietic grids for the same area in the past, there are understandably some differences between the two that could be explained by different processing algorithms used, instrumentation, but on average, I can make out similaritties between the two grids.

This time, the two grids look like almost the inverse of each other. Where the North American grid has an oblong shaped low, the Canda grid has a roughly oblong shaped high. Can someone maybe help me understand why there is such a huge difference between these two grids?
