Can anyone suggest an easy method of adding random noise to a channel in an Oasis Montaj .gdb database? I have done a forward calculation using a modeling package and am using an inversion package to see if I can duplicate the original model. I need to add some random, statistical (Gaussian?) noise to my theoretical data to give the inversion a challenge and I need to be able to control the noise characteristics (standard deviation).
