Subject: RE: [geonet]: increase
memory
Dear Manar,
The geotemp directory, as specified in Edit
> Oasis montaj Settings... > Temporary File Directory, controls the
amount of swap space set for applications in Oasis montaj. By default, the
swap space is limited to half of the free space on the drive where the geotemp
directory resides.
If you have additional drives on
your computer, then you can increase the swap space by creating a folder (for
example, D:\geotemp\) on a drive with more available free space, and then
specify this folder as the Temporary File Directory under Edit > Oasis
montaj Settings.
To increase the swap space beyond
half the free space on the geotemp drive, modify the SWP_FILE_MAX setting in
the file C:\Oasismontaj\User\ini\geosoft.ini with the following
procedure:
1. Check the amount of free
space available on your geotemp drive. Note that half of this amount is
currently being used.
2. Add the following entry to the
Oasismontaj/User/ini/geosoft.ini file under the [MONTAJ]
section:
SWP_FILE_MAX=500
Where instead of '500', enter a number (in Mb)
that is greater than the current swap space (i.e. half the free space) but
less than the total free space.
Kindest regards,
Natalie Green

Dear Colleague ;
Is there any way to increase the virtual memory of my PC. I think in file
"geosoft.ini" we can incerase it, but I don't know how can do it.
Thanks.
