You may have figured it out by now.  I think the problem is that you have to do 
a clean install as lots has changed from OM7 to OM8.
Please try to install again.  This time:

1.       Copy your custom GXs and any custom files you have to a safe place  
yourself

2.       Park your license

3.       Uninstall your current version

4.       Delete any remaining files in the Oasis montaj directory

5.       Do a clean full install

6.       Copy your custom files to the appropriate directories (C:\Program 
Files (x86)\Geosoft\Oasis \user)

Hello,
One of the geophysicians I work with updated her Oasis Montaj some time ago, 
from a 7.x version to 8.0.1. For some reason, when we try to load a menu, it 
keeps pointing by default at the old Oasis Montaj/omn directory, instead of the 
new resourcefiles/omn, and if I try to load any menu from the resourcefiles/omn 
folder, it fails, teling me that "Cannot load menus from C:\Program 
Files\Geosoft\Oasis montaj\resourcefiles\omn. Custom menus should be placed in 
the Geosoft user directory in a folder called omn."
This is version 8.0.1.
IS there anything I can do to fix this, other than doinf a fresh re-install?
