As Geosoft's technical lead for geophysical modelling, I often get a chance to
share and discuss inversion ideas with geoscientists in the exploration
industry. Sometimes, our customers and I will brainstorm how to get the best
possible inversion result in the most efficient way possible.

On March 2nd, 2014, Dr. Rob Ellis and I hosted some of our customers at the
Geosoft office in Toronto. We presented what we feel are the most common, most
impactful things you can do to improve your 3D inversion models. I'd like to
thank all those that attended; we had a great group of attendees and are
delighted with the engaging discussions that took place.

Many of you expressed your regrets for not being able to attend – so we've
created a Top 5 Inversion Best Practices Web Series for you to view online.
I'll cover tips on choosing auxiliary information, inverting large datasets,
interpreting magnetization vector inversion results, using constraints, and
preparing gravity gradiometer data for inversion. Simply go to the VOXI
Learning Resource Centre and click How-To Videos and then Technical
Presentation. The Introduction and Episode 1 are already available (links
below).

Each time a new episode is posted, I'll mention it here. So stayed tuned and
spark a discussion with your peers on Geonet!

Regards,
Taronish
