Hello Javed,

The grids look different because they are derived differently.

In the case of the 1d FFT, the vertical derivative is being calculated 
from line data. When it is gridded you tend get a lot of point features, 
because you are gridding a derived product, with higher frequency 
content than the original. The gridding algorithms don't work very well 
in that scenario.

Magmap is deriving its derivative from a grid, which is two dimensional, 
and is typically rather heavily filtered when compared to line data. 
There is a lot more continuity across lines because that's what gridding 
(ideally) does.
