You can calculate X and Y derivatives using Magmap. The the horizontal derivative (or gradient) is dH= SQRT((dx*dx)+(dy*dy))
You can also install USGS-GX http://pubs.usgs.gov/of/2007/1355/ and use Jeffrey D.
