Welcome!

I just sent an email on the 'roadmap process', and would love to get a
'GeoNode for emergency management' roadmap fleshed out. We can discuss
a bit here, and then submit items to the roadmap tracker.

Awhile ago we talked to Schuyler Erle who went to Haiti after the
earthquake, and got some insight from him of potential features to make
GeoNode useful. I just have one line sentences, would like to hear if
you agree, if you have more details, or more ideas.

* Localized data export - The ability to select an area of interest of a
data set and export _only_ the subset of data within that area of interest.

* A Verified/Unverified data listing - helps filter data by metadata
completeness. use case: needing to filter through lots of unverified
data for a sensitive purpose. (Maybe this could be a scaled ranking?)

* Low bandwidth UI - A stripped down UI for low bandwidth users. (Fewer
images, more static pages)

* Performance Tuning - Performance benchmarking and testing in various
conditions and application optimization.

* Hard metadata and data transfer - The ability to do a metadata catalog
dump from GeoNode that can then be transfered by USB and browsed
(offline? by another GeoNode?), and the ability to do an offline data
sync between GeoNodes when there is low connectivity and multiple local
machines.
