So I didn't get fully up and running locally, I think there's some problems with the GS connection, but I'll bring that up in another thread.
I decided to try using the live site to find the bugs to avoid for a test script. There are two that seem like they should be fixed before 1.0-beta, and one more that's nice to have. Maybe they are just problems in the live site, I'd just say be sure to hand test before releasing. One is already reported - http://projects.opengeo.org/CAPRA/ticket/683 It just sticks in an extra /data/ thing in to the url for me. The other is a similar, from a map page (http://geonode.capra.opengeo.org/maps/3) the links to the data pages are broken: http://geonode.capra.opengeo.org/maps/data/hazard:roads should be http://geonode.capra.opengeo.org/data/hazard:roads The nice to have one is that 'duplicate map' doesn't seem to work at all Like when you're on http://geonode.capra.opengeo.org/maps/8 and you click the link to 'duplicate map', it goes to http://geonode.capra.opengeo.org/maps/new?copy=8, and I get an 'internal server error' I'm building up another list of small bugs/tweaks. But for the most part this is looking pretty freakin' awesome. Most things are working, I was even playing with permissions and it's totally rad. Was able to change permissions on a data layer, go to GeoServer WFS, and it was successfully hidden from there. And Google Earth also made me log in to see the layer. So really great work on this, it's coming together for sure.
