Yes, a GeoNetwork instance is updated with the metadata from the GeoNode site. The GeoNetwork server on the demo site is available through http://demo.geonode.org/geonetwork/ . You will get a JavaScript error trying to use the web interface since we have not also deployed Intermap, but the CSW service works fine (in fact, it is used for the data search in GeoNode.)
