Setting up the Python part of the deployment on a Mac is not straight forward, depending on your setup the built-in Apache and the built-in Python can cause a lot of headaches (even when compiling things manually).
My best bet to show off a GeoNode version on a Mac would be either with a Virtual Machine guest or running the development server from a git tag (i.e. RC1). Ariel. Sent from my MacBook Pro.
