Hi Stefano, sorry for the late reply. I'm not too up to speed with geonetwork development lately. Does 2.6.1 already include that patch/refactoring for easier addition of derived metadata schemas?
If so I would be willing to update to it. Otherwise I would rather wait until it's up (regarding the integrated geonetwork instance we use in our code base). But that's just because of lack of time to keep geonode up to date with the latest and greatest of geonetwork. It would certainly be possible to replace the 2.5 we ship with by your own 2.6.1 one. There's nothing specific to 2.5 that we're using. AFAIK we're just communicating through the plain CSW interface.
