Thanks - been meaning to check out Leaflet  - seems to be a great quick 
alternative to Google Maps API but for a more powerful stack (editing, large 
datasets, data sharing, layer APIs)  Geoserver/GeoNode fits the bill.  Is that 
your read?
I like the jump start that Leaflet gives you - a little bit of code - and you 
see something.  I know to a developer customizing GeoNode is probably not 
difficult, but it would be nice to give the casual coder (there are a lot of 
us) an entry point to customizing GeoNode.
