Charlie, Honestly, don't give up, rather I never used mingw/msys myself (yet), so I'm not an expert of this tool chain. Regardless of my personal experiences, I agree it's still worth to support it. > I did a quick look at where sed is used, but all the autoconf stuff > is fairly hard to wade through (at least for me). Any sed experts in > the house using msys? I did a fast scan with vim/grep through the configure.in and didn't found anything suspicious, though the file is big and there are also a few macros in geos/m4. I just did a short test on Linux: - generate configure - run ./configure and no warning or error came out, so I'm pretty sure this is something MSys specific. Here I've found something interesting: http://svn.navi.cx/misc/abandoned/opencombat/README.MINGW32 check "Troubleshooting" section at the botton and 3rd Q&A. Charlie, could you check if this workaround will shoot the problem?
