This crusty old timer has a deep preference for spaces. I've looked at enough code where the tab settings have been inconsistent and its very very hard to recover.
We've also standardized on a clang format configuration here that seems to work very well and the folks like. That said, I think those here that brokered the final configuration with the team are well prepped to take on the NAFTA renegotiation as a hobby. Code formatting is a religious issue.
