I'd like to apply the approved format [1] in a single pass so that ongoing work with editorconfig-enabled tools don't apply inconsistent and extra whitespace changes going forward.
The one offending commit will be recorded in .git-blame-ignore-revs so that future advanced blame tools [2] can easily look past it. Since this change is already approved, I will wait two days for any screams and then just do it. P.
