A small suggestion: could tools/geos-config.in be changed by adding
-lstdc++
to
--static-clibs
(and possibly --static-cclibs, but we haven't needed this). We do need
static-clibs to be -L${libdir} -lgeos_c -lgeos -lm -lstdc++; Tomas
Kalibera is working hard to automate static builds of R packages across
multiple platforms, and is having to hot-patch this at the moment. I'll
check further with R packages, but already checked with 3.10.0dev during
the summer and have adapted as necessary (mostly 3.9 sorting after 3.10
problems).
