Any exception thrown in the UI code is not logged nor shown in the UI, only the
exception message appears, making it almost impossible to debug (a user
reported a "java.lang.NullpointerException" while doing a preview, and that's
all the information he got). We need at least a stack trace, it may be ugly,
but it's at least useful.
