Forwarding this message from the geotools-devel list.

Justin, is this still the plan for this week? to release geoserver 1.7.0 by
the end of this week?
I first noticed today while reading pending messages on the geoserver devel
list. Don't remember if it was mentioned on yesterday's geoserver irc meeting
though.

Yet, if we're going for a geoserver release shouldn't we communicate with
enough anticipation. Setting a due date for the release on jira would also be
fine. I guess my point is just please guys lets communicate earlier. Not
really sure if a week is enough planning for a release, but if so I would of
needed to notice last week and not today with two days remaning.

What could we do to improve this sort of communication gap? can we set at
least a policy to email the geoserver-devel list with a week of anticipation
when a release is comming? or any other approach you may consider better.

Best regards,

Gabriel
