Hi Mauro,

Which part of the process is failing? Are you getting a specific error 
message?

You should be able to do the following:

1. check out geoserver sources

   svn co http://svn.codehaus.org/geoserver/branches/1.7.x

2. under the root of the source tree execute a build:

   cd geoserver
   mvn clean install

3. generate eclipse project files:

   mvn eclipse:eclipse

4. import into eclipse.
