WFS-T demo does not work anymore (regression)

When I try to load the WFS-T demo I get the following error in the firebug
console:

OpenLayers.Layer.WFS is not a constructor
init()wfs-t.html (riga 46)
onload(load )7tnQksP2...GPg%3D%3D (riga 2)
[Break on this error] extractAttributes: false

Changing the OL source so that it points directly to the OL hosted version
(which is 2.7 btw) works fine instead:
<script src="http://www.openlayers.org/api/OpenLayers.js";></script>
At first it seems the minimized OL shipping in www/openlayers is missing the
files defining the WFS layers
(somewhere in the packed js there is a reference to WFS.js, which is nowhere to
be found).
