Hi all,

A busy IRC meeting with regard to the road map today:

* 1.7.3 release date

Currently 1.7.3 is set to be released next monday on feb 23rd.
Unfortunately this date conflicts with the opengeo summit, so our
resources to put out the release will be limited. So ideally someone
could pick up the reigns and get the release out. However if not I would
like to propose we push back the release date by 1 week.

* 1.7.x into bug fixing mode

As feature development winds down on 1.7.x what do people think about
putting 1.7.x into bug-fix only mode? The motivation is to focus on 2.x
and the features that have been brewing there for probably too long. We
will of course still put out regular releases but move feature
development to 2.x.

Thoughts?

* Issue update

GEOS-2550, Have the OL map preview list a layer styles:

This issue was brought up from 1.7.4 as Andrea had an itch and could not
help scratching it ;).

GEOS-2584, Allow choice of color reduction algorithm for png8 images:

This one was pushed back to 1.7.4 due to resourcing/time constraints.

GEOS-2520, Bring Imageio-ext extension to supported status
GEOS-2296, Add ECW support in the GeoServer downloads:

These issues require an update from Daniele. But have gone without an
update the last two or three road map updates. Should they be pushed
back? Nothing seems to be changing on them.
