Hide "binary" folder structure in Google Earth
----------------------------------------------

                 Key: GEOS-2699
                 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-2699
             Project: GeoServer
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Google Earth KML Output
    Affects Versions: 1.7.2
            Reporter: Mike Pumphrey
            Assignee: David Winslow
            Priority: Minor
             Fix For: 1.7.4

Standard output of KML yields a folder structure with user-unfriendly names
like (00,01,10,11), in addition to the more-helpful folder with a list of
features. This should be removed from view, except perhaps in a debug case.

Quoth Andrea:

The "folders" are just a by product of how the dataset is served in
tiles instead of being served into a single long stream that Google Earth
cannot handle due to size. Technically it's very close to what
GE does with its own layers, we should just find a way to hide those
folders, since they have no "structural" meaning other than being
a way to give GE data in small manageable chunks.
