I interpreted all your comments as requests to modify the catalog api.
I have the impression Justin did the same.
There is a communication gap here.

Afaik we're well beyond test, it's definitely not the first module
that goes thru the process already, the difference is that this is big
enough to warrant a GSIP instead of a plain mail asking for feedback.

As for lack of mails, yeah, that is indeed a problem, we're using
IRC and other communication mails too much and cutting off people
that for various reasons can follow the project only reading the
mailing list. I guess we should get the habit of posting to the
mailing list logs interesting dicussions happening on IRC.
Mind, that might mean multiple IRC snippets posted each day.
