ERDAS image rotating 45 degrees.

Key: GEOS-2928
URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-2928
Project: GeoServer
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 1.7.3
Environment: Windows XP sp3.
Reporter: Charles Deaton
Assignee: Andrea Aime
Attachments: LP.jpg, UP.jpg
I spent the better part of two days trying to determine why these images are
rotated 45 degrees counter-clockwise with no luck. I have many shapefiles from
the same source that have the same SRS. The image files may be obtained from
the following 2 links:
http://www.dnr.state.mi.us/spatialdatalibrary/sdl2/land_use_cover/2001/IFMAP_lp_landcover.exe
http://www.dnr.state.mi.us/spatialdatalibrary/sdl2/land_use_cover/2001/IFMAP_up_landcover.exe
I have also attached screenshoots.
If this isn't a bug I have no idea what else it could be.
