Pyramid creation

Hi. Currently pyramid and tile creation for coverages seems to be nothing short
of a nightmare with GeoServer. While the obvious feature request would be to
allow GeoServer to have a little button the user can click to just create the
pyramids, that's rather a lot of work.
So my more pragmatic solution is this:
Allow users to use/import the pyramids created by the deegree Raster
TreeBuilder. Being (L?)GPL you may even be able to nab their code.
