I agree the easiest approach is to just link to the same file.  In theory
it'd be nice if various extensions and community modules had their own
release cycles.  Like oftentimes a particular datastore won't change, but we
build it again for every single release.  But I suppose releasing each time
has its advantages.  But for styler I think we should just link to the same
file.

The styler homepage is http://projects.opengeo.org/styler  I don't believe
it's been updated.  But it's likely there will be some work on it in the
next few months.  One thing on the list is to make its core compatible with
GeoExt, so any GeoExt app could add in styling.  But we likely should still
have a reference app that works for configuring GeoServer.
