1.7.6 installer does not set write permissions on the log file file directory
and geoserver does not start

The windows installer does not set the write permissions on the log directory
which prevents geoserver from starting. This is probably because the default
directory is \Program Files\Geoserver. This might also affect the data_dir
since it is also under \Program Files
Work around is to manually set permissions for user to write to the log
directory. Start geoserver manually from the startup.bat file and not as a
service.
