Versioning plugin doesn't allow user to select database schema

When creating a new Versioning Postgis Datastore, at the form "Feature Data Set
Editor" there isn't a way to specify a postgres schema, unlike with the vanilla
postgis datastore.
Upon adding new Feature Types, only tables in the public schema are shown.
