The dates almost work for me, but there is a non small detail.
During the benchmarks for FOSS4G we discovered that both GeoServer
1.7.6 and GeoServer 2.0-rc crash badly (jvm dying) when more than
a handful of threads hit GeoServer on an ECW layer.

I know Simone and Daniele have been working on a patch that I've tested
with success, but there is no stable release of imageo-ext using it.
I need that in order to avoid a very bad rep for GeoServer in the
performance presentation (the server that was fast, but that crashed
in pieces with the wrong workload)

Simone, Daniele, how are things looking from that point of view?
