The GeoServer team is happy to announce the release of GeoServer 2.0-RC2. Unless there are any major issues found this release candidate will be re-released as 2.0.0. The release is available for download from:

The notable new feature is the new security GUI extension module, which allows editing of security configuration files through the web administration tool.
