The GeoServer team is happy to announce the release of GeoServer 
2.0-RC2.  Unless there are any major issues found this release candidate 
will be re-released as 2.0.0.  The release is available for download from:

http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/GeoServer+2.0-RC2

This release primarily fixes critical bugs found in RC1, and also has a 
number of documentation improvements.  The notable new feature is the 
new security GUI extension module, which allows editing of security 
configuration files through the web administration tool.  Thanks to 
Francesco Izzi for the contribution.

Thanks also goes to the newly formed Testing Team, for trying out the 
release before announcing to the wider community.  And thanks to all the 
developers for their hard work, and users for bug testing and suggestions.
