Well actually I have no very strict deadlines, so I would prefer to start a
discussion on the integration with restconfig module.
I proposed to leave this stuff on a separate module since the
functionalities I'm going to add are strictly related to the catalog
configuration even if they still need the catalog support to interact with
the data.
Actually I have aligned the code of the three functions above with rest and
restoconfig, by extending the AbstractCatalogFinder and
the AbstractCatalogResource base classes.
The only methods enables are the handleGet since those resources are
read-only resources.
I also made an override of the createHTMLFormat, createXMLFormat and
createJSONFormat methods, where applicable, by deserializing the objects
through xstream.
The only special case is for the rasterizer where I also added a custom
SLDFormat also using the GeoTools StyleBuilder to serialize the output for
the "sld" extension type, similarly to the catalog Style resources.
