I would like to nominate myself as a candidate for the PSC.

As many of you are aware, I have been involved in app-schema development
for some time. My colleague Rini Angreani and I have taken these modules
from unsupported to release, with the great help of the community. I
would like to give a little more back to the community, and I think I
now have enough experience with GeoServer to be able to contribute to
the PSC.

I am pleased to announce that a new project, the Australian Spatial
Research Data Commons (ASRDC), has recently been approved, and in
addition to myself and Rini Angreani, will be hiring seven more open
source spatial information software developers, including two to work
specifically on GeoServer. The advertisements for these positions are
expected to be on the CSIRO recruitment web site around the end of next
week: https://recruitment.csiro.au/asp/index.asp
I will circulate links to these positions when they are advertised. One
motivation for nominating myself for the PSC is that it will strengthen
the linkages between the GeoServer community and the ASRDC project.

I am also quite comfortable with the idea of enlarging the PSC somewhat,
to extend the geographic and domain coverage of the committee. I would
not like to see the other PSC nominees contesting with me for a single
seat, as there are great contributors out there who should not be
squished by those who are well-funded. I am sure we have room for more.

Kind regards,
Ben.
