Blog post looks good - thanks for the hard work.

I do see the blog post picked up everywhere by news anouncements. I wonder if 
we can tone down the amount of email announcing we now do? The community does 
seem to be supporting us in that respect.

I did notice from a couple of examples (this release and previous):

That news items would really like to have a visual to associate with the news 
announcement. I would rather provide one in the blog post then see what is dug 
up on our behalf.
