Just as we have a set of attribute names and types in vector data it would be
nice to have a little information panel in the layer editor providing band
names, band types, nodata values list and the like (maybe also a button to
trigger statistics/histogram computation, which may be indeed be quite
expensive for large raster, but useful for anyone trying to setup a color map
and the like)
