GeoServer 2.1.x User Manual Includes innacurate information regarding OpenJDK
support
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: GEOS-4365
                 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4365
             Project: GeoServer
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Documentation
         Environment: N/A
            Reporter: Nicholas Whittier
            Assignee: Andrea Aime
            Priority: Minor

The Java Considerations documentation
(http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/production/java.html) states that
OpenJDK will not work with GeoServer. This should be updated to indicate that
OpenJDK will support GeoServer, but that performance will suffer.

Text: "JREs other than those released by Sun may work correctly, but are
generally not tested or supported. Specifically, OpenJDK does not work with
GeoServer, as it lacks sufficient support for 2D rendering."

Should read: "JREs other than those released by Sun may work correctly, but are
generally not tested or supported. GeoServer will work with OpenJDK, but expect
reductions in 2D rendering performance."
