GeoServer fails to load raster for one layer from file system but works with
mounted volume

                 Key: GEOS-4440
                 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4440
             Project: GeoServer
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: WMS
    Affects Versions: 1.7.6
Environment: Redhat linux or Ubuntu 10.04
Java 1.6 64-bit with jai 64-bit
            Reporter: Suneet Kamath
            Assignee: Andrea Aime
            Priority: Blocker

Have multiple layers configured in GeoServer using the 1.7.6 installation as
detailed here
http://osgbwebmaptools.sourceforge.net/OSGBWebMapTools.html

My initials thoughts was that the error might be related to the number of files
for that layer being above 10000 and around 45 GB. as discussed in GEOS-3548.
However, when mountng a network data store, the tiles are rendered.

This might be a problem with geotools imagemosaic as indicated in the logs,
however I thought I would post the question here first.

Please note that we do have plans to switch to a later version of GeoServer but
for now the plan is to use the exact version as documented in the link above.

Regards
Suneet
