all vs 2.x GeoServer.

We use the REST api to create a new CoverageStore for each weather image that
we create every 5 to 15 mins. That always works OK. We then use REST to purge
old CoverageStores, typically after they are several hours old. After GeoServer
has been running OK for about 8 hours, the DELETE CoverageStore fails (it works
fine until then). When the DELETE fails, we use the REST "reload" command in an
attempt to clear it. That is not successful (and we get the error described in
GEOS-4481 if we try to look at it). The only method we have found so far that
releases the locked file is to stop the GeoServer service then restart it. I am
happy to provide more information or logs, but I do not know what you might
need.
