User, Data and Catlog Security (Mixed) Combined causes Wicket Runtime Exception

I have changed the catalog security to MIXED to challenge a user that is not
admin, yet display the permitted layers when logged in to the Geoserver
manager. When logged in to the manager as a user with r or r/w access to only a
subset of the layers and click on Layer Preview the attached error report is
generated. This error does not occur with catalog security set to CHALLENGE -
all the layers are displayed in layer preview.
