I can't really provide an opinion since i really know nothing about what
that module does. All I can find is here:

Which is a little vague and last updated in 2009. Is the info there
accurate?
One of the things I would consider when deciding to merge into restconfig or
not would be how well it "fits in". Does it follow the same conventions used
in the restconfig module? For example, for the most part restconfig attempts
to srtictly follow "restful best practices". That is GET used to only to
obtain resources, POST used to created new resources, PUT used to modify
existing resources, etc... From the doc it seems all the endpoints handle
both GET and POST and they are essentially the same?
Unless I am mistaken this module has not much to do with configuration... so
i am thinking maybe keeping it separate makes more sense.
