Informix cannot be used as a JDBC authentication provider [1]. It seems that
the Informix JDBC driver does not support the discovery through the
"DriverManager.getDrivers" method that is used in the new security subsystem to
find all available JDBC drivers.
Looking at the Informix docs, it seems that the driver needs to be discovered
through Class.forName [2] and instantiated with
DriverManager.getConnection(url) [3].
