Hmm.. it's annoying indeed, though we used that transformation quite a bit
without
seeing the ill effects the user is reporting.

At the same time, the issue shows up only if the WPS extension is added
into the mix,
which is not core yet for good reasons (lack of service limits,
impossibility to control
the list of processes exposed to the final user).
I did not touch the priority of the jira, but I'd say that while the issue
might be critical for
the user it does not seem critical to the GeoServer project as a whole.

That said, next weekend I'll try to have a look at it
