Hi folks,
Thanks for the quick turnaround on the voting for GSIP 78 - switch to git.
Things are pretty much ready for the switch. Build server is currently
building from git. I have updated the release scripts locally (but have yet
to do a real test with them). Developer documentation has also been updated.
So things left to do are:
1. set up the geoserver organisation, and add committers to the group (will
send an email to gather up accounts for those who aren't also in the
geotools group)
2. turn off svn access (i will probably just use the same trick as goetools
and just empty out the committer list in codehaus since i don't imagine it
will be turned off by then)
3. flip the switch
4. try out the release scripts
My main question is timing. How do peopel feel about doing the switch over
this week? Timing wise it works good for me since next weekend i will be
travelling and won't have any time to work on it. It is also July 4th this
week so folks in the US will be off for most of the week after wednesday.
So how would wednesday work for people? I imagine the change over will be
pretty straight forward (knock on wood) based on the geotools change over.
