As you may know I've spent a few of the last weekends to setup a build box
on Windows
for GeoTools and GeoServer.

Both GeoTools and GeoServer trunk as of today build fine for me on either:
- XP 32 bit
- Windows 7 64 bit

I had to make quite a bit of changes to get there, and they have not been
backported
to the stable series so far, but as of this morning I have both GeoTools
and GeoServer
trunk building fine on both of the above platforms.

You might want to give trunk another spin?

That said, I've also noticed that the new security subsystem is
troublesome, on a couple
of occasions I had the build fail because one of the xml files managed by
the
security subsystem could not be deleted on teardown, but the issue was not
at all reproducible,
not on Eclipse, nor on Maven...

Cheers
Andrea
