Description:

For layers based on MrSid format images (and I guess other formats suppoted via the GDAL plugin), the InputTransparentColor setting in the Coverage Parameters is not currently supported. So if I have a Layer Group for some images which overlap I cannot set the nodata colour and get black areas in the output at the borders where the images join.
Adding support for setting the InputTransparentColour would thus be very useful for me. In the meantime, I can use an ImageMosaic instead of a Layer Group to achieve this, but ImageMosaic is slower genrating the output for me compared to using a layer group with the same images.
